The Lord cares for you!

Poem (I wrote like 15 minutes ago): 


Arise, Oh church and awaken!
Realize that it's okay to be broken.
In humility recognize that you are not enough
in yourself to fix things.

You are not okay by yourself and you need a savior.
Acknkowledge the Lord
and all of His grace and unmerited favor.
The Lord and His strength are enough for you.
He is the one who will do the work. 

We are the bride!  Church, turn to your husband.
Let His love redeem you.

Let God care for you. 
Don't just let Him care about you,
let Him take care of you. 
When you come to the end of your strength,
turn to Him.  Partner with Him daily.

Recognize your brokenness
and the great mercy of our Lord!
He is a good friend who cares for you.
He doesn't come to you expecting you to do
everything on your own to please Him. 

The Lord comes to you to heal you,
care for you, and bind up your wounds. 
He wants to offer His comfort, encouragement,
and strength in coming alongside you.

It pleases God to be with you.
He wants you to work with Him,
partnering with the Holy Spirit
to minister to our broken world. 

Don't try to pretend that everything is okay.
The world is a broken place. 
Have joy and take rest in the Lord,
but also recognize your brokenness and confess your sins.
We need Him daily. 

Cry out to the Lord for His healing and redemption!

Awake, awake, oh sleeper!
Awake to the condition of your heart and of this world! 
Awaken to the details and outpourings of the love of God for you
 and to His faithfulness and grace.

He won't relent until He has our full attention
and our whole hearts. 
Give yourselves to Him in full surrender;
not just in a worship service, not just on the outside,
not just giving Him your sin,
but giving your whole heart to Him, everything within.

He loves you and is delighted in you now;
He takes you as you are. 
You are changed by Him.
You will be filled with joy because of Him,
in seeking His face.

Don't hide your wounds from the Father.
Bring everything before Him.
Seek Him in the quiet place;
in the morning and at night.
 Praise Him for all His glorious deeds.

Bring your heavy burdens
and cast your cares upon Him.
He knows your every wound and sin. 
He wants our obedience and not our sacrifices. 

God is pursuing you every day.
Love Him with all your soul, mind, heart, and strength.
You will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart. 
He is there and He has you.

Geh mit Gott (go with God).
We love and praise you Father, our Healer!  Amen.   : D

Becoming New...

Good evening y'all, It has been a long day, but it has gone by fast.  Sort of ironic.  I'm sitting at home trying to get some rest from this cold that's clinging to me like a crawfish...??  I know I've been at work too long when I start sounding out words in my head that I see--like the word, Th-i-n-k-ing.  Or I start saying the words that way to adults when they ask me a question. This 2016-17 school year I am a LITERACY TUTOR in AmeriCorps.  It sounds kind of fancy when you put it that way.  I spend my days working one-on-one with about 16 different students on various reading interventions.  We work on short reading passages or blending together small words.  This also includes a lot of paperwork, data entry, prep work, bribing and coaxing via small toys, candy, and cracker items.  It should involve a lot more praise than scolding, more high-fives than head-shaking, and you get the picture.  The work is often rewarding, but also where I want to bang my head agai

Hi everybody!

Hello everybody! I've never had a blog before.   I have Facebook though.  I don't really know what to do.  If other people can comment on here feel free to ask me about my life  : )   Oh, apparently you guys can comment so that's good.              So this is Jasmine Fairbanks and I am at the Teen Mania Ministry's Honor Academy in Garden Valley, Texas which a Christian leadership school/ministry internship, basically, yet it's a lot more.  It's sort of like being on a mission trip because we are working toward spreading the gospel, but we stay in one place and reach people through the phones, etc.  I call for the Minneapolis Acquire the Fire youth conference.  Our event is on Feb. 4th & 5th, which is in like 2 weeks!  I'm excited, I get to go and help!  We'll help set up the event and with registration, etc.  This weekend is also the Houston Acquire the Fire, which I will get to attend.  This will be the first full Acquire the Fire that I've

The Lord disciplines those He loves, gives grace to the humble and strength to...my soul.

Hello!  I hope you are doing well.  : ) Here's a poem I wrote the other day:  God, please help me to be strong and apoligize when I'm wrong. I know if I hang onto bitterness I won't last very long before breaking into pieces.  It's like a rotting disease-- like leprosy. But, God, I know that you can heal me! You heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds.  God, make me whole!  I want to be made whole in you, set free and fully redeemed. Please drive out of me all that isn't from you-- all my sin that is keeping me captive within. Free me to live for you God and to love you. Free me to speak truth and cultivate peace. Help me to live in humility and harmony. God, break down these walls that I build up in my heart.
